My Mom was outside honking the horn, I was wearing a vintage pink gown and feeling unstoppable — until POP! my hair tie snapped and hit me in the face. I was late, frustrated, and knew one day I’d fix this for women everywhere.

Years later, after building my first company and seeing the world, I realized the problem was still the same — billions of cheap, breakable, plastic elastics tugging and polluting. So I searched for something better and found it: a plant-based material made from castor-bean oil that’s soft, strong, and built to last.

HAIR DEUX was born for women who move. As a former D1 track athlete, I know what women who run, lift, create, and care need. And, I also know many of those women believe small choices can make a big impact. At HAIR DEUX Each tie lasts up to two years (that’s what “DEUX” means — two!) and replaces hundreds of wasteful elastics.

What began with one broken hair tie has become a movement — for better hair days, better materials, and a better world!
